VMware is the industry leader in server virtualization technology with more market share than all the other players combined. Our products range from enterprise class solutions like ESX and Virtual Center (VC) to freely downloadable consumer editions like Vmware Server.
For our Bulgarian team we are looking for Software Quality Assurance Engineers, responsible for testing VMware’s product line. You will work closely with developers to help ship products with very high quality.
Responsibilities
• Write test plans for assigned features
• Design and execute manual and automated tests
• Evaluate test results
• Setup test environment
• File bug reports
• Participate in design reviews
• Participate in specification reviews
• Train or help in training new team members
Requirements
• Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent from
a reputable university is a plus
• Minimum 3 years of professional IT experience
• 2 years professional experience as QA using the above
mentioned skills is an advantage
• Working with at least 2 of the following operating
systems: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, Solaris
• Basic skills in Networking
• Basic programming skills (in some of C, C#, Java, Perl,
Python or other scripting languages)
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Experience with test automation tools will be considered
as big advantage (some of Silk Test, WinRunner, TestComplete)
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Excellent communication skills and must be able to
interface with customers as necessary
• Must be comfortable testing on both the Windows and
Linux environments
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
